The internal fan to blow air/air-con/heat into the cabin has stopped working on speed 1, 2 or 3. The fan only works on speed 4 and blows very fast (as it should). Nothing happens when the fan is on speed 1, 2, or 3. the reason for air con regas are pretty similar too the reason for the brake fluid change every 2 years the aircon drier will become saturated with moisture (for those that dont know it collects the moisture in the R134a gas and stores it inside itself) so vacuuming the system for around 30 mins will remove 99% of all that moisture So I figured it out. The compressor wasn’t coded and needed basic settings doing, the control module wasn’t coded and the pump needed basic settings. Not sure how this had happened, I’ve owned the car 7 months and never had the air con working so there is some unknown history! Hope this helps someone. Cost me £66 to fix from VW I've noticed that on some settings the aircon doens't turn on, but on others it does. I think it's todo with how it circulates the air on certain settings it isn't feasible for the air con to work properly so it disables it. Try switching it so that the fans are facing towards you, putting the fan speed to 1 and then turning the air con on. The VW code is on the front. Using a small mirror you will be able to read the code. Our 2014 Jetta SE has heat on driver side vent, and progressively cooler toward the passenger side vent (the vent by the passenger side side mirror blows cold).
